Kid's Microwave Review: Functional, But Way Too Loud

A kid’s microwave sounds like a great idea in theory: independence, pretend play, and the ability to “cook” alongside adults. This set goes a step further, including a pot, pan, cooking utensils, and even pretend food that can be cut—great for hands-on, imaginative play. In practice, though, this one creates more noise than necessary.
The main issue isn’t functionality — it works as expected for a toy, and the added accessories are a nice bonus — but the constant beeping. Buttons beep. Timers beep. Finishing beeps. Reset beeps. The sounds are loud, frequent, and not optional.
For kids who enjoy pretend play, repetition, and a full “kitchen setup,” this may still be appealing. For adults who value a calmer environment, it becomes grating quickly.
Butter left the room immediately and did not return until the noise stopped.
